Joe Wikert

Joe Wikert is OSV’s publishing president where he manages all publishing products including the weekly newspaper – Our Sunday Visitor – as well as periodicals, curriculum products and OSV’s book publishing business. He spent the earlier part of his career in the technology and publishing sectors. Joe served in a variety of executive roles at Macmillan, Prentice-Hall, Simon & Schuster and John Wiley & Sons. He began his career as a software engineer and for several years was also general manager, publisher, & chair of the Tools of Change (TOC) conference at O'Reilly Media, Inc. Joe has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management with an emphasis on Computer Science from Purdue University. He has a distinguished history of facilitating high-profile and highly profitable acquisitions. Joe has served on a number of boards including the ECPA and has advised a variety of publishing and publishing technology startups. He is also a vocal advocate for helping inspire traditional industry transformation and has been sharing his perspective on his personal website, www.joewikert.com, since 2005.
